DEFY DISTANCE
iTECO (Nigeria) Limited held the inaugural series of its tech café session on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Victoria Island.

The event which was held in collaboration with its unified communications partner, Polycom Inc., was aimed at showcasing the latest technology in video and voice solutions.

Participants in attendance were from the oil and gas exploration industry. The GMD, Gbenga Odujinrin gave the welcome address via the Polycom Real Presence platform,

which was one of the innovations on display. Demola Agboola, Pan Ocean Oil Corp. and Clement Iwuchukwu, iTECO inspect the video conferencing equipment on display.

iTECO’s Executive Director, Lanre Oyetunji gave an insight into the partnership between iTECO and Polycom. Participants also got to experience the seamless integration between the Microsoft lync with the platform. Other innovations included the tracking power of Polycom Eagle Eye Producer and the multipoint calls on Polycom bridge.

The event was also an opportunity to network with guests.

TELNET PARTNERS WITH OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT ON HEALTH CARE

His Excellency, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, while unveiling the programmes under the scheme tagged "Gbomoro" and "Araya" in Abeokuta, said the provision of efficient healthcare was one of the cardinal points of his administration.

Telnet personnel were on hand to register the first beneficiary of the scheme, in the person of His Excellency, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, followed by other dignitaries. Telnet is the sole solution provider and technology partner for this scheme, while the scheme will use the mobile payment platform, PiDO for payment of the yearly premium.

KEDC LAUNCHES PiDO IN KADUNA
The official launch of the third party commercial vending scheme hosted by the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC) took place on Friday February 28, 2014 in Kaduna. The scheme was aimed at ensuring accurate billing to customers and provide customers with convenient means of settling their bills. As such, customers using the pre-paid meters will be able to pay their bills using their mobile phones.

During his opening address, the Managing Director of KEDC, Engr. Idris Mohammed stated that the new scheme would facilitate good service delivery and ensure that customers are able to pay their bills with relative ease. Customers will be able to buy their PHCN tokens through their mobile phones using a mobile payment platform, PiDO provided by PayCom Nigeria Limited.

The PiDO brand generated a lot of enthusiasm among participants and customers at the event, encouraging many to successfully experience at first-hand, the convenience and security of PiDO.
